What is IELTS?

1. IELTS is the International English Language Testing System.

If you want to work or migrate or pursue your education abroad more specifically from a country where English is spoken by the majority of people, you need to take this exam.

2. As the result of this exam is the only proof to show your proficiency in English language and you won’t face any communication issues while staying that country

3. IELTS is jointly owned and conducted by IDP Education Australia, British Council and Cambridge Language Assessment

4. This exam is divided into four segments namely listening, reading, writing and speaking. The speaking test is taken by the  IELTS examiner and conducted face-to-face.

5. The exam is graded in 9 bands, and you should score at least 6 bands in each section. If your score is less than 6 in any one section then it’s considered a failure.

6. You can attempt the exam any time in the year. The exam is conducted four times a month.

  • You can choose the IELTS Course for General Training or Academic IELTS test based on your requirements.

  • The IELTS General Training test is for those going to English speaking countries for secondary education, work or training programs. It is also a requirement for migration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. On the course, you’ll develop the ability to write letters and well-structured essays while building your vocabulary on a variety of topics. Practice speaking skills for all three sections of the Speaking test and get feedback. You will also practice Reading and Listening test questions, and improve your grammar as well as test-taking strategies.

  • The IELTS Academic test is for people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English speaking country. In the course, you’ll develop the ability to analyse data and visuals to write a clear report and learn to structure your ideas and arguments in opinion and discursive essays. Practice speaking on a variety of topics for all three sections of the Speaking test and get feedback. You will also practice Reading and Listening test questions, and improve your vocabulary and grammar as well as test strategies.

  • There are two different IELTS modules: Academic and General Training. The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both modules, but the Reading and Writing tests are different.
